Welcome to Tawala! This guide will walk you through setting up your account and making your first sale.
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Visit portal.tawala.co.tz
- Click "Get Started"
- Enter your business name, email, and phone
- Verify your phone number via SMS
- Set your password
Step 2: Set Up Your Business
- Add your business details (TIN, address)
- Upload your logo (optional)
- Set your default currency and tax settings
- Add your bank/mobile money details for payments
Step 3: Add Products
- Go to Products → Add New
- Enter product name and description
- Set selling price and cost price
- Add barcode if available
- Set initial stock quantity
- Save and repeat for all products
Step 4: Configure VFD (Optional)
If you need TRA compliance:
- Get your VFD certificate from TRA
- Go to Settings → TRA VFD
- Upload certificate and enter password
- Test connection
Step 5: Make Your First Sale
- Go to POS (Point of Sale)
- Search or scan products to add
- Adjust quantities if needed
- Click Pay
- Select payment method
- Print or send receipt
